It’s going to be a long day of yoga and errands. Packing a lunch and snacks ensures that I’ll eat as healthy and as raw (alkaline) as possible.
In my lunch bag:
- Banana
- Pear
- Salad: Spinach, Kale, Bell Peppers, Grape Tomatoes, Alfalfa Sprouts, Balsamic Vinaigrette
- Veggie Bag: Bell Peppers, Brocolli, Blueberries, Green Onions (to wrap around the Broccoli)
- Trail Mix: Raw, sprouted Sunflower seeds, Dried Apricots, Dried Cranberries, raw Hazelnuts
- And of course a liter of water :)
This meal is much more affordable than anything remotely healthy that I could get on the go. Eating healthy and raw is easy, tasty and good for you!
Walnut Currant Flaxmeal
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- 4-5 Tbs Flax Seed
- 1 large banana
- 5 medium sized strawberries
- 1 Tbs dried black currants
- 2 Tbs raw walnuts
How to:
- Blend the flaxseed and place into a dry bowl.
- Blend 2/3 of the banana and all of the strawberries with a little bit of water. Place this new smoothie mixture over your ground flaxmeal and stir until it is a malt-o-meal consistancy. (Play with the liquid/dry ratios to create your desired texture)
- Cut up the rest of your banana and stir it with the berries and nuts into your flaxmeal. Serve or seal it in the fridge for a delicious breakfast :)
